

Central Urban Park
The Central Urban Park is one of the largest and most emblematic green spaces in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Located in the eastern part of the city, between the first and second ring roads, this public park covers approximately 20 hectares and has become a vital green lung for the urban area.






Features and Attractions
Biodiversity: The park is home to around 2,300 trees from 113 different species and 600 shrubs, offering a diverse natural environment for visitors.
Recreational Infrastructure: It has playgrounds, sports courts, bike lanes, and an amphitheater with a capacity for 2,000 people, used for cultural and community events.
Dancing Water Fountain: One of the main attractions is its dancing water fountain, which offers light and music shows at dusk.
Summit of the Americas Monument: Located at the west entrance of the park, this monument was designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta and inaugurated in 1996, symbolizing the unity of the Americas.
Local Gastronomy: Near the park, especially at the main entrance, there are stands offering typical regional refreshments such as somó, chicha, mocochinchi, and copoazú.





How to get there?
Address: The park is bordered by Avenida Argentina to the west, Avenida Capitán Mariano Arrien to the north, the second ring road (Avenida Santa Cruz) to the east, and Avenida Teniente Mamerto Cuéllar to the south.
Nearby bus lines: Various microbus lines and public transportation run along the avenues surrounding the park, providing easy access from different parts of the city. Some of these lines are 13, 18, 31, 36, 37, 39, 40, 42, 59, 66, 69, 72, 94.

The Central Urban Park is open to the public all day. It is recommended to visit in the morning or at sunset to enjoy a cooler and safer environment.
